Civil engineering focuses on planning, building, and sustaining both man-made structures and natural environments. Professionals in this field use mathematical and scientific principles to create solutions that harness natural elements and resources, aiming to enhance human welfare while preserving ecosystems. Our CEE department conducts diverse research initiatives centered on four primary domains: water and environmental systems, soil mechanics, building design, and infrastructure systems. The department provides an ABET-accredited bachelor's program in civil engineering, along with graduate degrees including master's and doctoral programs in civil engineering and a specialized master's in environmental engineering. Given the broad scope of civil engineering projects, we also facilitate cross-disciplinary studies that offer our undergraduates numerous learning pathways.
