Bachelor's Degree
This program culminates in a professional qualification that merges key elements of educational studies with the scholarly rigor of a master's degree. Approximately 50% of coursework occurs in the College of Education, with the remaining half conducted through Italian Studies. Most students finish within two to three years, with their final semester entirely devoted to practical training (the practicum) - a mandatory requirement for all educator preparation programs in the Commonwealth. During this culminating experience, participants collaborate with experienced Italian instructors at Massachusetts high schools. Program coordination and student-teacher matching throughout the state are overseen by Dr. Stacy Giufre.
