The department features a neuroscience track that equips students with focused coursework and hands-on experiences in the field. Participants in this program undertake a challenging science curriculum and engage in research alongside faculty from UMass's Neuroscience and Behavior (NSB) program. This interdisciplinary graduate program unites professors from multiple departments to deliver advanced research training for track participants.
For details about the neuroscience track, consult with an advisor during their scheduled hours, which can be found on Navigate and the general advising page. While first-semester UMass students can't formally enroll in the neuroscience track due to the 3.0 GPA prerequisite, we strongly recommend meeting with an advisor early to explore neuroscience requirements and prospects.
