The Master of Public Policy (MPP) is a two-year professional program that equips students with essential analytical abilities, specialized knowledge, and professional connections to tackle policy challenges and develop effective solutions. The MPP program structure includes two key elements: a 27-credit core curriculum covering governance fundamentals, quantitative methods, and policy implementation, alongside elective courses for specialized study. Students can apply their elective credits toward one or two focus areas or explore broader policy topics. Available specializations encompass environmental policy, energy policy, international development, security and economic policy, leadership and management, nonprofit administration, public finance, social policy, health policy, education policy, and a customizable option. Graduation requires completion of 48 credits. Develop expertise in policy formulation and governance while acquiring hands-on analytical training to address critical societal issues.
Building upon our distinguished faculty of academics and professionals, we provide a specialized track in cross-sector leadership and partnership management. This leadership concentration develops tomorrow's public sector executives and managers for local, state, and federal government roles. Effective leadership and sound management have become increasingly vital. Citizens today expect exceptional stewardship of public assets while demanding efficient, cost-effective services. Governments at all levels confront mounting expectations for transparency and performance amid constrained resources. Meeting these complex challenges requires mastery of financial systems, contemporary management strategies, leadership principles, and collaborative approaches across government, business, and nonprofit sectors.
