Created by the Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute (Mtech) at the University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering, this fully online MPS program provides students with both theoretical foundations and practical strategies for successful venture development.
This program trains students to tackle real-world innovation challenges by applying learned skills across five key phases of the innovation process—from strategic planning and ideation to product development, market entry, and sustained expansion in diverse environments.
The curriculum fosters entrepreneurial mindsets that go beyond mere ideas, cultivating disciplined thinking patterns. Delivered in 12-week sessions, the 30-credit graduate program consists of nine courses and can be finished in 15 months by taking two 3-credit courses per term, followed by a 6-credit capstone project in the final term.
