The University of Maryland's Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) program, fully accredited by the American Library Association (ALA), equips graduates to become tech-savvy, socially conscious information specialists capable of teaching, developing new solutions, and driving innovation. Those applicants who have earned or will earn a bachelor's degree at a regionally accredited college or university in the United States (or the equivalent of a baccalaureate degree from a nationally recognized institution in another country) are eligible to be considered for admission to the Graduate School at the University of Maryland
