The Master of Information Management (MIM) program at Maryland's iSchool, part of the College of Information Studies, equips graduates to become pioneers in information science and technology. It focuses on enhancing the effectiveness of information management strategies and strengthening organizations through improved decision-making processes. By integrating principles from management, computer science, information systems, and information science, the MIM curriculum equips students with the expertise to address user information requirements, spearhead organizational information management initiatives, implement cutting-edge technologies, and oversee valuable information assets. The program's objectives include: Training future leaders who can connect technical teams, operational staff, and executives, Meeting the rising demand for professionals capable of strategically handling information and technology resources to solve organizational challenges, Advancing the field by examining ethical, social, political, and technical aspects of information management in today's world, Supporting organizations in crafting information policies, designing information systems and services, and applying information management techniques and tools.
A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum "B" or 3.0 average on a 4.0 scale on all academic work attempted for consideration;
Acceptable scores on the General Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT);
The minimum TOEFL score for admission into the MIM program is 100.
