The Curriculum and Instruction (EDCI) graduate program, part of the Department of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership, provides pathways to earn a Master of Education (M.Ed.). Our department features diverse programs tailored to align with students' academic and career objectives, spanning educational research, teaching, supervision, curriculum leadership, teacher preparation, or consulting across all educational levels - from elementary to higher education. Certain M.Ed. specializations prepare students for teacher certification, including options for those with non-education bachelor's degrees seeking teaching credentials. Additional M.Ed. tracks cater to current educators and professionals, while our research-focused offerings include the Master of Arts in Teaching & Learning, Policy & Leadership (TLPL).

This program culminates in a Master's of Education (M.Ed.) and qualifies graduates for Maryland State Department of Education PreK-12 World Languages Certification, enabling instruction in elementary or secondary schools for languages including Chinese, French, German, Italian, Latin, Russian, and Spanish.
