The dual degree program merges curriculum from urban studies, planning, and real estate development, allowing students to earn both a Master of Community Planning and Master of Real Estate Development with reduced credit requirements compared to pursuing them individually. Maryland's Real Estate Development Program leads in real estate education through its adaptable, customized interdisciplinary approach, hands-on project experience, mentorship initiatives, and career pathways that support quadruple bottom line principles—ensuring projects are economically viable, ecologically conscious, socially equitable, and sustainably constructed.
Those applicants who have earned or will earn a bachelor's degree at a regionally accredited college or university in the United States (or the equivalent of a baccalaureate degree from a nationally recognized institution in another country) are eligible to be considered for admission to the Graduate School at the University of Maryland
