The Department of Mechanical Engineering provides advanced degree programs culminating in Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy qualifications. Students can also opt for a Master of Engineering degree via the Professional Master's Program under the Office of Advanced Engineering Education. As a consistently popular engineering discipline, our graduate curriculum equips learners with both foundational knowledge and exposure to cutting-edge technologies such as: robotic systems (including medical applications), artificial intelligence, sustainable energy solutions, optical fiber technology, and 3D printing processes. Our program emphasizes developing practical competencies that enable alumni to progress professionally across government and industry sectors.
Open to qualified students holding a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Admission may also be granted to students with degrees from other areas of engineering, mathematics, and physical sciences. In some cases, students may be required to take undergraduate courses to fill gaps in their background.
