The curriculum delivers thorough training in advanced theoretical and empirical financial research, covering areas like asset valuation, market dynamics, risk assessment, and more. Note: This specialization mandates that doctoral candidates complete UMD Economics Department's graduate microeconomics and econometrics courses. Prospective students must have prior coursework equivalent to three calculus semesters, one linear algebra semester, and one differential equations semester.
