The University of Maryland's Social Studies Secondary Education program aims to prepare future 7th-12th grade educators who effectively: Guide students toward becoming knowledgeable, participatory citizens through critical analysis of history, government, and social sciences. Apply evidence-based teaching methods to create student-focused curricula, deliver meaningful instruction, and evaluate learning outcomes.
