The Plant Science (PLSC) program within the Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture (PSLA) features three specialized tracks: Plant Biology, Turf and Golf Course Management, and Urban Forestry. This curriculum blends core scientific studies with practical training to equip students for diverse professional paths. Additionally, a Landscape Management minor is available. PSLA focuses on studying, managing, and designing agricultural, urban, and natural environments, examining their interactions with air, water, soil, and living systems. Our work supports environmental sustainability by conserving plant resources and designing functional landscapes through education, research, and outreach programs that address both local and global ecological challenges.
The Plant Biology concentration serves as a foundation for advanced studies in all areas of plant science. This path prepares students for careers in agricultural biotechnology or academic research, enabling them to contribute to groundbreaking discoveries in the field of plant sciences.
