The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Neuroscience (NEUR) provides comprehensive education in the multidisciplinary exploration of brain function and behavior. This program is collaboratively administered by the Colleges of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences (CMNS) and Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS). The curriculum includes core neuroscience courses along with foundational studies in mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, and psychology. Students then select specialized upper-level courses focusing on either cellular/molecular/physiological neuroscience or behavioral/cognitive neuroscience. This major equips graduates for diverse career opportunities in fields such as: scientific research, medical practice, clinical psychology, healthcare professions, or science-oriented roles in government, nonprofit organizations, and private industry.
High school students and students with fewer than 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours of university-level credit beyond secondary school should apply as freshman applicants.
