Undergraduate students interested in the combined BS/MS program typically submit their applications during the first semester of their junior year. Applicants must have finished a minimum of nine credits in 300-level ENEE or CMSC courses by the application deadline. This program is designed for students demonstrating outstanding academic achievement. Up to nine credits of graduate-level courses used toward the bachelor's degree can also be applied to the graduate program, provided they are at the 600-level or higher and the student earned a B- or better. Courses such as independent study, internships, or those credited through examination do not qualify for dual credit. The double-counted credits will be officially recognized for the graduate program after the student earns their bachelor's degree and enrolls in the Graduate School. Additionally, students must submit a formal application to the Graduate School for the ECE graduate program, usually two semesters prior to completing their BS. Adherence to all departmental and Graduate School deadlines and admission criteria is mandatory. The Department provides two BS/MS degree pathways: Thesis and Non-Thesis.
Credits eligible for dual application will be assigned to the graduate program following the student's bachelor's degree conferral and enrollment in the Graduate School. Students are also required to formally apply to the Graduate School for the ECE graduate program, typically two semesters before BS graduation. Compliance with all departmental and Graduate School deadlines and admission standards is essential. The Department offers two BS/MS degree options: Thesis and Non-Thesis.
