The Department of Computer Science places undergraduate education at the forefront. You'll join over 3,400 (and growing) of the country's brightest computer science students. Our diverse student body explores interests spanning systems, programming languages, algorithms, design, VR, and robotics. During your undergraduate studies, you'll master computing fundamentals like programming languages and theory, preparing you for our advanced 400-level courses. Beyond coursework, opportunities include research projects, honors programs, study abroad experiences, and internships. Graduates pursue top-tier graduate programs or careers with startups, tech firms (both large and small), consulting agencies, and government entities.
High school students and students with fewer than 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours of university-level credit beyond secondary school should apply as freshman applicants.
