The Biological Sciences program provides an intensive introduction to contemporary experimental biology. Students complete core studies in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics before advancing to specialized upper-level courses that reflect key research domains in modern biology, spanning molecular investigations to ecological systems. Undergraduate researchers work alongside leading faculty on pioneering projects. This curriculum delivers a thorough scientific foundation for careers in public or private sectors, while also preparing students for advanced study in various professional fields. The Biological Sciences degree offers both a General Biology track and specialized concentrations, with all majors completing identical CORE/Gen Ed and foundational coursework requirements - only advanced coursework varies by specialization.
The CEBG concentration emphasizes molecular and cellular life processes, equipping students for graduate programs across modern scientific disciplines as well as careers in medicine, dentistry, forensic science, genetic counseling, or biotechnology industries.
