Many students incorporate projects from high school or community college art classes in their portfolios. If you haven't had formal training in Photography and Cinematic Arts, don't be deterred from applying. If you're interested in this program at UMBC, you likely already produce Photography and Cinematic Arts content independently.
Photography and Cinematic Arts portfolio guidelines:
Concise, polished video clips are preferable to lengthy, unrefined ones. Aim to keep videos under 3 minutes.
Include photographic work demonstrating diverse subjects.
Storyboards, creative writing pieces, and scripts are welcome submissions
