Animation draws from the principles and creative techniques of animation, film, motion graphics, gaming, and technology. Learners engage with animation as creators, progressing through practical production courses using both traditional and digital methods, while examining animation's history and viewing works by modern animators. As part of the Animation curriculum, students are urged to cultivate their unique artistic perspective by experimenting with various media and critically assessing their creations. Peer critiques of individual projects play a key role in helping students establish a foundation for their future as animation artists. Higher-level animation courses involve technically demanding work in 2D and 3D digital formats, handcrafted techniques, interactive media, blended approaches, and innovative developments in animation. Upon completing the program, students have the chance to create a polished final project, working independently or collaboratively.
