Asian Studies is a multidisciplinary field exploring Asia's diverse societies, traditions, governance, historical developments, linguistic systems, and artistic expressions. At UMBC, students can pursue Asian Studies through a major, minor, or certificate program, providing adaptable options to integrate this focus into their academic journey. The curriculum blends courses across multiple disciplines with advanced language instruction in Chinese, Hindi, Korean, or Japanese.
