This program provides students with core theoretical and analytical skills essential for careers in research, management, and policy within government agencies and NGOs. The curriculum adopts an interdisciplinary perspective on global security and foreign affairs, emphasizing analytical techniques, research methodologies, risk evaluation and reduction, strategic decision-making, and institutional leadership, alongside key security challenges facing the modern world.
All enrolled students must complete SPI 574 Conduct of US Foreign Policy along with four to five other courses at the 400 level or above. When designing your academic path, note that Master's candidates require Graduate School approval to apply more than 6 credits from 400-level courses toward degree requirements.
