The University of La Verne's Master of Science in Leadership and Management (MSLM) program develops skilled leaders capable of guiding diverse organizations. The MS in Leadership and Management requires 33 semester hours (36 for those without prior management education), including 12 specialization credits. Learners can attend classes online or at various campus sites. The curriculum prepares professionals to navigate the intricate challenges of modern organizational environments.
Our faculty prioritize personalized instruction and strong student connections, with foundational courses establishing crucial management competencies. Students then tailor their studies through electives in a focused specialization or broader coursework. The culminating capstone experience, following required research courses, involves developing and presenting either a thesis or practical research project. The program offers three specialization tracks: organizational development, human resource management, and nonprofit management, allowing students to align their studies with career goals. Specialization courses explore diverse subjects such as team leadership, conflict resolution strategies, and nonprofit administration, covering essential areas from workforce analytics to optimal organizational structures.
