Dramatic writing and film/video production continue to be vital components of today's entertainment industry, which is growing quickly across all areas of creative work. This interdisciplinary certificate allows UK students to explore and develop filmmaking skills through a series of courses from the Department of Theatre & Dance and the School of Art & Visual Studies, culminating in the visual storytelling capstone course A-S 446. By finishing the five-course, fifteen-credit program, students will gain filmmaking expertise from instructors with professional backgrounds in video production, filmmaking, and screenwriting, while creating their own short films. Completing the certificate prepares graduates for diverse entertainment industry roles and provides a foundation for advanced study in film programs.
