The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering provides graduate programs culminating in either a Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical Engineering. Our department maintains vigorous research initiatives across multiple disciplines, including power electronics, energy systems, electromechanical systems, computer engineering, control technologies, electromagnetic fields, optical electronics, micro/nano-scale electronics, signal analysis, telecommunications, and automation systems. Students benefit from fully equipped departmental research facilities, supplemented by additional resources from the Power and Energy Institute of Kentucky.

An overall grade point average of 2.75 on undergraduate work and 3.00 on all graduate work is required by the Graduate School.
