The Epidemiology Concentration equips students to- Examine fundamental concepts of disease spread, prevention, and management through their application to significant public health infections. Assess elements influencing chronic disease risks and study approaches for modifying these factors. Develop observational or experimental research designs to examine exposure-outcome relationships while recognizing possible confounding variables, biases, and effect modifications. Construct and apply multivariate analysis methods that account for confounders and effect modifiers, drawing valid conclusions. Analyze disease patterns across locations, demographics, and time periods using various data visualization techniques like maps, charts, and tables.
