The Department of Pharmacology and Nutritional Sciences offers doctoral programs focused on Pharmacology, culminating in a Ph.D. Most graduate students in the College of Medicine enroll through the unified Integrated Biomedical Sciences (IBS) program instead of applying directly to individual departments. During their initial year, participants complete IBS coursework and experience four different research labs to select their thesis mentor. By the summer after their first year, students formally join their preferred department and research team.
