The family sciences Ph.D. program offers a research-focused curriculum with comprehensive training in theoretical frameworks, research methodologies, and statistical analysis. All doctoral candidates gain hands-on teaching experience. The master's program features five specialization tracks: (a) adolescent development, (b) gerontology, (c) couples and family therapy, (d) household finance and economics, and (e) family dynamics. Each track (excluding couples and family therapy) mandates at least 30 credit hours, including 15 core credits, 5 elective credits, 3 credits for data analysis or program evaluation coursework, 1 professional development seminar credit, and 6 thesis (Plan A) or capstone project (Plan B) credits.
