Our clinical program focuses on educating future clinical scientists and bridging the gap between research and practice. We believe the scientific approach forms the best foundation for clinical psychology, serving as the most reliable method for advancing knowledge in our discipline. Clinicians should employ only those interventions proven effective through scientific study. Our curriculum prepares students to become pioneering researchers, discerning evaluators of scientific literature, and practitioners who base their clinical work on empirical evidence. Every doctoral candidate must undertake original research, with most alumni continuing to contribute to scientific publications throughout their professional lives.

Ideal candidates typically demonstrate strong research ambitions they plan to develop during their studies. While some applicants may not have fully defined career objectives upon admission, we welcome those exploring potential paths in research, academia, or clinical service. Our comprehensive program provides the versatility to prepare students for careers incorporating all three areas. All participants receive intensive training in both research methodologies and practical applications, engaging in scientific inquiry while implementing evidence-based clinical techniques. Additionally, clinical students gain opportunities for classroom instruction and supervisory roles.
