The Journalism program equips students for leadership positions in the evolving media landscape through a robust curriculum of journalism studies integrated with a comprehensive liberal arts foundation. Students explore media industry frameworks, ethical considerations, legal regulations, historical developments, and journalism's impact in diverse societies. The program cultivates analytical abilities and critical thinking to effectively engage audiences across multiple media channels. With three specialized tracks, students gain preparation for enduring careers in reporting, visual journalism, editing, publishing, production, on-air presentation, digital content creation, and other fields demanding expertise in media communication. The curriculum covers both conventional and emerging media formats. The culminating experience involves managing an active multimedia blog, with opportunities to contribute to the student-operated daily newspaper and various campus media outlets through writing, editing, design, and reporting roles.
