The undergraduate Architecture curriculum offers a rigorous sequence of design studios alongside courses covering architectural history, theory, construction technology, digital tools, and professional standards. For architectural licensure in Kentucky and nationwide, graduates must pursue a two-year Master of Architecture degree - both undergraduate and graduate programs are available at UK. UK's School of Architecture has earned national recognition for its outstanding programs, driven by dedicated faculty and exceptionally talented, hardworking students. The school maintains full accreditation from the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).
The four-year Bachelor of Architecture prepares graduates for positions in architectural firms, construction companies, development organizations, and government agencies. Architectural licensure in Kentucky and other states requires completion of the additional two-year Master of Architecture program. The University of Kentucky provides both degree pathways.
