The interdisciplinary Education Studies and Human Relations (ESHR) major in the College of Education offers diverse pathways for students pursuing careers in education or counseling fields outside traditional K-12 teaching. ESHR delivers rigorous academic training, emphasizing analytical reasoning and relationship-building competencies, preparing graduates for various education-focused professions or advanced studies. Qualification Requirements

Direct Admission is designed for first-year students applying to the university for the fall semester. Applicants who present an ACT composite score of 21 or higher and a final high school GPA of at least 3.0 are eligible for direct admission into the ESHR major.

You must meet the following requirements for admission:
A 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on academic courses (a U.S. grade of B or better where an A = 4.0).
Must present three years of completed secondary (high school) coursework.
Completion of secondary school (generally representing 12-13 years of education).
Upon completing secondary school, provide academic records (transcripts) that reflect a graduation date or a separate secondary school diploma/certificate.
Complete our Minimum High School Course Requirements, which vary depending on whether you are applying to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Business, or Nursing.
