The Asian Languages and Literature Program offers comprehensive insights into ancient civilizations spanning millennia. Students can master an Asian language while exploring diverse aspects of Asian culture, including its historical, artistic, literary, political, geographical, religious, and anthropological dimensions. Complementing your major with an International Business Certificate can significantly broaden your career prospects or prepare you for graduate studies.
To further enrich your academic experience, consider pairing your degree with a second major or specialization in fields like Anthropology, Art, Art History, Film Studies, History, Comparative Literature, International Relations, Political Science, Legal Studies, or Religious Studies.
Students should have completed academic upper secondary school (generally a total of 12-13 years of primary and secondary education) with a corresponding secondary school diploma or leaving certificate. They must have pursued English/language arts 4 years, world languages 2 years in a single language, science 3 years, including one year from at least two of these areas: biology, chemistry, and physics, social studies 3 years, algebra 2 years, and geometry 1 year.
