Our entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program equips students with the skills to launch their careers in occupational therapy. While training students as general practitioners, the curriculum provides a robust foundation for pursuing specialized practice areas post-graduation.
The University of Indianapolis' OTD program holds accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE), part of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
The School of Occupational Therapy's Entry-Level OTD program aims to shape compassionate, skilled practitioners committed to continuous learning, leadership, and advocacy at all community levels. Through their educational journey, students transform into forward-thinking professionals who synthesize research and clinical practice. The program fosters leadership development while maintaining exceptional professional standards in both traditional and emerging practice settings. In order to be considered an eligible applicant, you must meet the following requirements: Provide evidence that you will complete a bachelor’s degree in any field at any regionally accredited college or university by the time you enter the program, or evidence that you are a University of Indianapolis undergraduate eligible to apply for admission through our Early Entry program. Provide evidence of a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
