The Master of Studies in Law (MSL) is a specialized, non-professional degree tailored for individuals seeking legal knowledge without pursuing a law practice or bar exam. This program allows students to choose between full-time enrollment (12-20 credits per semester) to finish in one year, or part-time enrollment (6-11 credits per semester) to complete the degree in two years. Regardless of enrollment status, students must fulfill all degree requirements within two academic years, with a maximum of 20 credits per semester. MSL candidates participate in the same courses as JD and LLM students. To graduate, students must earn 32 credit hours through College of Law coursework (including specified requirements), produce a faculty-guided research paper, and maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
