The combined MSW/PhD program is designed for students pursuing doctoral studies who hold a Master's degree in a related discipline but lack an MSW. This integrated approach enables students to obtain both degrees more efficiently than pursuing them separately. Participants can apply up to three courses (12 credits) from their PhD coursework toward MSW requirements, thereby reducing the total course load for the PhD. Admission to the joint program occurs at initial enrollment in the School, and is exclusively available to students committed to completing both degrees. Upon fulfilling all requirements, graduates receive both the MSW and PhD simultaneously.
