The School of Integrative Biology outlines 12 key educational goals that define the knowledge and skills students should acquire by graduation. By completing the foundational biology courses, IB core curriculum, specialized advanced labs and lectures, along with supplementary courses beyond the major, the program guarantees students will achieve these learning objectives: Recognize biology as an interconnected, interdisciplinary field, Demonstrate genuine interest and concern for biological sciences while valuing life's diversity, Grasp how biological concepts connect to societal issues, policies, and personal experiences, Conduct scientific investigations effectively, Employ quantitative analysis and computational techniques, Implement basic mathematical models to biological processes, Develop strong scientific communication abilities in both writing and speaking.
