The Printmaking concentration enables BASA and BFASA students to explore diverse traditional, photographic, and digital print techniques relevant to modern art and design disciplines. The curriculum covers screenprinting, letterpress, comics and zine creation, relief printing, intaglio, lithography, along with various rotating specialized subjects.

Teaching initially emphasizes mark creation, color principles, layout design, and the evolving significance of printed imagery in visual communication throughout history. Students at all levels cultivate analytical abilities, visual and cultural understanding, and knowledge of contemporary art theory and methods. Upper-level courses integrate digital tools like laser cutters, CNC routers, and Risograph machines, blending digital typography and design with conventional drawing techniques in studio projects.
