This program educates students about the reasoning behind community initiatives, the tactics used in development work, and complex urban community challenges. It highlights social transformation, justice, and equitable access, particularly for marginalized populations in the United States.
Objectives of the Community Development Specialization

To cultivate evaluative abilities for assessing community conditions and identifying relevant data and resources for planning and implementation.
To introduce students to key stakeholders, institutions, and pressing community concerns, along with strategies for addressing them.
