Reflecting the interdisciplinary essence of public administration, UIC's MPA faculty bring expertise across numerous fields. Their educational backgrounds and research focus areas span diverse disciplines such as legal studies, organizational leadership, political science, statistical analysis, survey methodology, social sciences, economic theory, business administration, organizational behavior, personnel management, fiscal planning, and digital systems. The core faculty is enhanced by accomplished adjunct professors who are active leaders in public policy, legal practice, and administrative roles.

The Nonprofit Management concentration delivers focused knowledge about the nonprofit realm, covering foundational concepts, historical context, operational strategies, and financial development for charitable organizations. Learners explore the dynamic between nonprofits and government entities, including civic engagement foundations, cross-sector partnerships, policy influence techniques, and financial planning for public funding opportunities.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants are considered on an individual basis. In addition to the Graduate College minimum requirements, applicants must meet the following program requirements-
Baccalaureate Field No restrictions.
Grade Point Average At least 3.00/4.00 for the final 60 semester (90 quarter) hours of undergraduate study.
Tests Required GRE or GMAT scores are required from applicants who are requesting program-administered financial assistance.

New Paper-Based TOEFL (after August 2018) of 60, with subscores of Reading 19, Listening 17, Writing 21, Institutional Testing Paper-Based TOEFL (prior to August 2018) of 550.
IELTS- 6.5 (no sub scores lower than 6.0)
