Reflecting the interdisciplinary essence of public administration, UIC's MPA faculty bring expertise across numerous fields. Their educational backgrounds and research focus on diverse relevant disciplines such as legal studies, organizational leadership, political science, statistical analysis, survey methodology, social sciences, economic theory, business administration, organizational behavior, personnel management, fiscal planning, and information systems. The core faculty is enhanced by accomplished adjunct professors who are active leaders in public policy, legal practice, and administrative roles.
The Financial Management curriculum encompasses coursework in fiscal planning, governmental financial operations, accounting principles, economic theory, and specialized classes covering subjects like public sector finance.
