The Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship equips students with essential business skills to establish and expand thriving ventures. Chicago currently holds the #2 spot nationwide for rapidly expanding small businesses. To fully engage students in the city's dynamic startup ecosystem, we collaborate with innovation centers and facilitate internship opportunities.
Entrepreneurs forge their own professional journeys rather than following conventional routes. UIC Business recognizes the creativity, motivation, and perseverance that drive entrepreneurial success, guiding students to convert aspirations into actionable strategies while securing necessary resources to achieve their objectives.
The entrepreneurship bachelor's program covers essential areas including business development strategies, funding acquisition, market positioning, organizational leadership, digital systems, and advisory services. Students master applying these competencies to startups, small operations, and family-run enterprises.
Although some students initiate their own businesses or join family enterprises during or right after their studies, most entrepreneurs establish their ventures later professionally. Graduates frequently secure management trainee roles with organizations that prize innovative thinking.
