The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences provides six secondary education programs that result in either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree (varies by department and program). UIC collaborates extensively with the Council on Teacher Education to align professional education standards for these degrees. Throughout the licensure process, students will interact directly with the Council on Teacher Education.

For students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in the Teaching of German at UIC, fulfillment of university, college, and departmental degree requirements is mandatory.
