The Second Degree BSN program is available in-person at the University of Houston's Sugar Land campus. This accelerated pathway accepts new students each Spring semester. The rigorous 12-month, full-time program is tailored for individuals with existing bachelor's or graduate degrees in non-nursing disciplines who aspire to enter the nursing profession as registered nurses (RNs). This intensive track specifically supports career transitions for seasoned professionals.
The Second Degree BSN curriculum aims to develop nursing professionals capable of integrating concepts from biology, social sciences, liberal arts, and nursing theory to assess health-related challenges and deliver evidence-based care.
Program Objectives
