Mechanics faculty are creating mathematical models and analytical methods, along with computational approaches for issues in structural, solid, and fluid mechanics. Their work centers on gaining deeper insights into the deterioration and recovery processes of both artificial and natural materials, as well as heterogeneous porous substances. Additionally, they focus on advancing and implementing theoretical, computational, and experimental methods to study how materials and structures react to mechanical, thermal, and environmental stresses, with special attention to fatigue and fracture mechanics.
