Our Finance Department welcomes Ph.D. candidates from diverse academic disciplines. Among our cohort of about 16 doctoral students, over 50% hold master's degrees. These students' prior graduate studies span multiple fields, including business, computer science, economics, engineering, international relations, mathematics, physics, and natural sciences. Their undergraduate backgrounds are equally varied. Since mathematical and statistical proficiency is essential for all coursework, students must complete an intensive two-week preparatory program in these subjects during early August before their first academic year commences.
