The Production & Design Program provides coursework and immersive, hands-on training in scenic design, lighting and sound technology, and costume creation, along with specialized design classes in these disciplines. Students can focus on a specific concentration during their junior and senior years or explore a more comprehensive curriculum. Undergraduate participants contribute to mainstage productions as crew leaders, design assistants, and sometimes even lead designers. Studio productions are primarily managed by undergraduate designers and technical staff.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive training for theatre technicians and designers. Understanding current industry demands, we equip graduates with practical skills for immediate entry-level positions or advanced study in design and technology. The School of Theatre & Dance Production faculty actively guide students' development, offering mentorship, professional modeling, and academic advising throughout their educational journey.
