The Master of Science program mandates completing 30 credit hours of study, with an optional thesis. Those enrolled in the MS program can seek admission to the PhD track, contingent upon academic merit and available PhD positions.
For doctoral studies, applicants must hold an MS in electrical and computer engineering or an equivalent qualification. If not, they must fulfill the MS coursework prerequisites. New PhD enrollees enter as precandidates. The qualifying examination generally occurs within the initial year. Upon finishing all requirements except the dissertation, students advance to candidacy. The doctoral program necessitates 40 credit hours of completed coursework.
