The Graduate Resource Management Certificate is a collaborative initiative jointly offered by the College of Social Sciences' Department of Urban and Regional Planning (covering anthropology, economics, and geography), the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (focusing on natural resources and environmental management), and the East-West Center (through its Environment and Resources: Energy and Minerals programs). With its wide-ranging subject areas, interdisciplinary faculty, and hands-on implementation across Asia-Pacific regions, this program perfectly suits graduate students looking to complement their core studies with specialized knowledge in environmental resource management.
Participants gain focused instruction that enhances their major field while building practical analytical and decision-making abilities through examining actual case studies. All classified graduate students currently enrolled at UH Mānoa qualify to apply for this certificate. Prospective candidates should reach out to their academic advisor or program representatives from the partner departments and institutions.
Certificate requirements include completing 15 credit hours, with a minimum of 9 credits at the graduate level. Additional details are available through the Department of Urban and Regional Planning.
