Discover the scientific disciplines that will forge a more sustainable future. Our undergraduate program equips students with expertise in the knowledge, techniques, and innovations that will sustain future generations—covering areas like crop genetics, plant health protection, soil-plant relationships, and agricultural business operations. Our coursework readies you for impactful roles in enhancing food networks, ecosystems, urban spaces, and living standards. With global population rising, we confront escalating food needs and possible scarcity. Agricultural output must surge by 60% within 25 years while reducing ecological harm to ensure secure, consistent, and enduring food supplies. Concurrently, urbanization intensifies, demanding eco-friendly cityscapes through sustainable horticulture and efficient food systems. The current deficit of skilled specialists capable of addressing global food security issues highlights the critical need for scientific solutions. Plant and soil sciences offer varied career trajectories—whether in outdoor settings, laboratories, corporate environments, or a combination—all essential for tackling tomorrow's pressing needs.
