Our program covers both theoretical foundations and practical applications across essential organizational subjects, including industrial-organizational psychology, leadership, management, and organizational behavior. This STEM-designated Master of Science in Organizational Psychology (MSOP) program cultivates expertise in the principles, research, and real-world implementation of industrial-organizational psychology concepts that influence workplace dynamics.
The MSOP equips students with fundamental competencies in critical analysis, problem-solving, effective communication, advisory skills, and leadership—essential tools for improving organizational performance and employee welfare. The MSOP readies you to guide, oversee, and advise diverse organizations navigating global markets. Our curriculum establishes a strong grounding in organizational psychology, following the educational standards set by the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology (SIOP). With diverse elective options complementing this core foundation, you can customize your graduate studies to align with personal and career objectives. Cross-disciplinary electives are available through the Psychology Department, School of Communication, and Barney School of Business, offering perspectives in areas like health psychology, strategic communications, entrepreneurship, and business analytics.
A completed bachelor’s degree (regional or national accreditation) in any field.
International applicants are preferred to be proficient in English — or have TOEFL, PTE or IELTS if you are not a native speaker of the English Language. Average TOEFL scores for students range from a minimum of 80 (Internet Based Total), and 550 (Paper Based Total). The minimum score for the PTE is a 58. IELTS minimum score for graduate studies is 6.5.
